As A Lawyer
Stan decided to open his own firm while clerking for a federal magistrate judge. Working for a judge provided insight into the “other side” of the legal process. Stan has also clerked for the district attorney’s office and city attorney’s office. In law school, Stan was a member of the trial team and competed in interschool and intra-school competitions and has won various accolades for his work.
Stan has represented corporations, small businesses, and individuals from all walks of life. He handles general litigation matters, representing both plaintiff and defense, in civil in criminal matters. He represents businesses in landlord-tenant matters, drafting contracts, forming a business entity. He has represented clients in lawsuits from personal injury, contract disputes, to bankruptcy. He is licensed to practice in California state and federal courts.
Stan is licensed to practice only in California and federal courts, and represents clients only in California.
Outside Of Work
In his spare time, Stan enjoys working with children. He has been invited to speak at various public schools to teach students about their basic constitutional rights. He believes that “very few people know what their constitutional rights are mainly because it’s not taught in schools. Regardless, it’s important for everybody, especially students, to understand your basic rights when confronted by the government.” He has also coached a mock trial team that competed in the annual competition held in Los Angeles. In the future, he hopes to get involved with scouting again as a scoutmaster.
Stan is a second generation Chinese-American and comes from a family of business owners. As a child, he has seen the injustice from others who want to take advantage of business owners and how helpless they were when they were cheated. Stan took it upon himself to go to law school to protect those he cares about. Today, Stan protects corporations, small businesses, and individuals from all walks of life. He advises them on business matters such as contract law and business law. He also represents individuals in personal injury matters. Stan is an Eagle Scout. He enjoys snowboarding and basketball. He is an avid sports fan and his favorite sports team is the Lakers (poor guy). He likes singing, although he admits he’s not very good at it. He has two dogs.
